TAQNYA 2009 Dr. Mohammad Moammar, Head of the General Telecommunication Authority the committee has opened the 5th Telecom and Information Technology Exhibition TAQNYA 2009 on Sunday 26/4/2009 morning at Maitiga airport in Tripoli – Libya. TAQNYA is organized by GPTC and supported by the General Telecommunication Authority. The Show is organized on a yearly basis to be the main meeting point of the Telecom and Information Technology in Libya. The show hosted about 69 companies from the public and privates sectors and is expected to attract thousands of visitors during its opening days 27- 30/04/2009. National Pavilions at TAQNYA 2009
The trade department at the Canadian Embassy in Tripoli had taken a good step by taking part at the Show. This participation makes Canada the 2nd country to have a national pavilion at Taqnya Show after Malta. TAQNYA TROPHIES
Silicon Electronic Solutions were awarded the BEST STAND Award while the Voluntary Work Award went to ZLUG Linux Users Group and the Libyan Open Source Group. Commercial presentations during TAQNYA 2009
